    Introduction to skills required to use Windows-based programs.
  • Introduction to the Personal computer (16 classroom hours)
    Basic computer operating and keyboard skills.
  • Office XP (80 classroom hrs./ 16 hrs. per module)
    This course introduces the student to the programs included in Microsoft Office XP, the integrated suite of tools designed to be a productive desktop office. The student will learn the basic skills required to use:
    • Word XP - A word processing program
    • Excel XP - Operation of the popular spreadsheet program
    • Access XP - A database program
    • Powerpoint XP - A program for creating slide presentation
    • Outlook XP - A desktop information management program

Environmental Materials and Technology Certificates (54)

  • Hazardous Waster Operations and Emergency Response/ Hazardous Material Technician (26 classroom hours)
    Completion of this 26 hour certificate fulfills the requirements for onsite Hazardous Materials technicians under CFR 29 1910.120. Course is taught in 2 modules.
  • OSHA Workplace Safety Certificate (16 classroom hours)
    Coursework for this certificate is divided into five instructional modules in compliance with workplace regulations found in CFR 29 1910 and 1920. Students will learn an OSHA recognized Worksite Hazard Control and Response Certificate.
  • OSHA Construction Safety Certificate (12 classroom hours)
    Class complies with the OSHA employee safety training regulations found in CFR 29.1926. Course taught in two modules.
